The Manchester Engineering Campus Development (MECD) is a 81,000m² campus which includes state-of- the-art student spaces, teaching environments, lecture halls, laser labs (1161m²) , dry labs (8784m² ), chemical labs (2412m²), biological labs (630 m²), characterisation labs (1141m²), workshops, cleanrooms, meeting rooms, conference, food and beverage, equipment/material storage and associated public realm.
The cleanroom space based in the basement of ghe building consistent of a suite of cleanrooms to ISO 6 classification with laminar flow hoods to ISO 3 classification.
