Lilly has been operating in Ireland since 1978 at Kinsale, Co. Cork and today this site has grown to a vast high-technology manufacturing campus that employs over 900 people and uses complex chemical synthesis and biotechnology manufacturing processes to make active ingredients for Lilly medicines. Asgard Cleanroom Solutions were responsible for the design, supply and installation of the IE2b cleanroom expansion project on three floors covering approximately 3000m².

Ceilings
Sterideck heavy duty cleanroom grid ceiling system with 1.5kN and 2.5kN walk-on load capacity and provision for integration of electrical services within the ceiling thickness. Galvanised steel stairs and ladders provided access to the varying ceiling levels.
Flooring
Ancorite Terrazzo, IFL MC Dur and Sika flooring.
Doorsets
Fireblock steel doors for blast walls, fire walls and cleanroom walls including pneumatic automation in Atex zones and Efaflex Rapid Roll Doors.
Cleanroom Walls
Plasteurop SB05 50mm thick fully flush cleanroom wall system with honeycomb core and PET surface finish, incorporating flush blast relief panels in specified areas. Modubuild / Promat specialist blast rated wall system offering 10kN blast resistance to manufacturing spaces. Gyproc proprietary metal stud framed plasterboard partitions including integrated structural steel goal posts to frame large openings.
Electrical
Astra Safetstep and CEAG HRL Ex Rated light fittings including emergency lighting system connect to central battery system. CEAG Emergency escape signage.
Mechanical
Camfil Safe Change Units, Halton DTR ceiling diffusers and Air Sock.
Equipment & Furniture
Fogging booths, safety showers, stainless steel fire extinguisher cabinets and gown room fixtures & fittings.
